Allison is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Master of Education from the University of Toronto. Allison has also completed specialized training in Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and the Gottman Method

Allison’s goal in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can truly be themselves and explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. She takes a client-centred and holistic approach, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs, and focuses on helping clients build confidence, resilience, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.

Allison specializes in relationship issues, family conflict, self-esteem, and life transitions, but she also works with a variety of other challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. She believes therapy is a collaborative process, where clients are the experts of their own lives, and the therapist’s role is to support, guide, and gently challenge them to meet their goals.

Sessions provide a space to try strategies and explore new ways of approaching situations in a safe environment, so clients feel prepared and empowered to apply what they learn in their everyday lives. Above all, Allison strives to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves, while working toward meaningful growth, insight, and lasting change.
